These ceramic forms evoke the undulating movement and organic structures found beneath the ocean’s surface—reminiscent of coral blooms, shell fragments, or tidal remnants. In my practice, I explore natural rhythms and the quiet intelligence of ecosystems, in this case where land and sea converge. These pieces are part of an ongoing conversation with form, memory, and the natural world, echoing the gentle strength and impermanence of underwater life. The tactile folds reference both growth and erosion—fragile yet grounded. As with my paintings, these sculptural works invite reflection on the interconnectedness of all living systems and the poetic force of nature’s shaping hand.
These glazed clay sculptures form a body of work in which I have reimagined the hard clay into flowing forms.

Flow 1 and Flow 2 2022, show the flowing grace that clay can have. Expressing an emotion they rise up from tortured bases to have curving wings that give flight to hope.
