My work emerges from an ongoing immersion in the Queensland landscape — its shifting light, tangled undergrowth, weathered bark and drifting leaves. Through layered abstraction, I explore the felt experience of place rather than its direct representation.
Working intuitively with acrylic, charcoal and mixed media, I build surfaces that echo the rhythms, textures and movement of the natural world. My process often begins outdoors through walking, drawing and observation before evolving in the studio through successive layers, gestures and erasures.
These works are not intended as literal landscapes, but as atmospheric spaces that invite stillness, reflection and connection.
